Platform capabilities

Built to accelerate everything, not just what you can cache

A closer look at the network layer, protocol tuning, security, and tooling behind ZionLink.

Global Edge Network

ZionLink operates 180+ points of presence across six continents, each peered directly with major ISPs and internet exchanges. Static assets, images, and cacheable API responses are served from whichever node is physically closest to the requester — often in a handful of milliseconds — instead of round-tripping to a single origin region.

  • 180+ PoPs peered with tier-1 networks and IXs
  • Automatic cache invalidation and purge propagation in seconds
  • Origin shielding to absorb traffic spikes before they hit you

Intelligent Route Acceleration

This is where ZionLink goes beyond a traditional CDN. Every request — including ones that can never be cached, like personalized API calls or live data streams — is analyzed in real time against dozens of candidate network paths. Our routing layer continuously measures latency, jitter, and packet loss across the internet and steers traffic onto whichever path is fastest right now, not whichever looks shortest on a map.

  • Real-time path scoring across latency, jitter, and loss
  • Automatic failover away from congested or degraded routes
  • Private backbone links between major edge regions

Protocol Optimization

Beneath the routing layer, ZionLink tunes the protocols carrying your traffic. Connections are upgraded to HTTP/3 and QUIC where supported, TCP congestion windows are tuned for the specific path being used, and TLS handshakes are optimized to shave round-trips off every new connection — compounding savings that add up especially on high-latency or lossy mobile networks.

  • HTTP/3 and QUIC support with automatic negotiation
  • Adaptive TCP tuning per network path
  • 0-RTT TLS resumption for returning clients

Security & DDoS Mitigation

Every edge node inspects and scrubs traffic before it ever reaches your origin. Volumetric and protocol-level DDoS attacks are absorbed across the distributed edge capacity rather than concentrated on a single point, and a managed WAF ruleset filters common application-layer attacks without adding meaningful latency to legitimate requests.

  • Always-on volumetric and protocol DDoS mitigation
  • Managed WAF with custom rule support
  • TLS termination and certificate management at the edge

Real-Time Analytics & Observability

A live dashboard breaks down latency, throughput, cache hit ratio, and error rates by region, edge node, and route — updated in near real time rather than on a delay. Configurable alerts notify your team the moment a path degrades or an origin starts returning errors, so issues are caught before users notice them.

  • Sub-minute latency and error-rate dashboards by region
  • Configurable alerting on latency, errors, and cache performance
  • Exportable logs for your own observability stack

Developer-First APIs & SDKs

Everything in the ZionLink dashboard is also available programmatically. Provision new edge configurations, purge caches, inspect routing decisions, and pull analytics data through a single REST API, CLI, and Terraform provider — so acceleration can live in your infrastructure-as-code instead of a manual console.

  • REST API, CLI, and Terraform provider
  • Infrastructure-as-code friendly configuration
  • Webhooks for deploys, purges, and incident events
