Four systems, working as one
Each layer of ZionLink's architecture solves a different part of the latency problem — together they cover the whole path.
Anycast Edge Routing
Every ZionLink point of presence announces the same anycast IP range. Internet routing (BGP) naturally sends each user to the topologically nearest edge node, with no DNS-based geolocation guesswork and no delay when a node goes offline — traffic simply shifts to the next-closest one.
Optimized Private Backbone
Once traffic reaches the edge, it doesn't cross the open internet again unless it has to. ZionLink's PoPs are interconnected by a private backbone with committed capacity and predictable latency, so the 'middle mile' between regions is no longer the noisy, congested part of the journey.
Adaptive Path Selection
Our routing control plane continuously probes latency, jitter, and loss across every backbone link and internet exit point. Path decisions are recalculated on the order of seconds, not hours, so a fiber cut or a congested peering point on the other side of the world doesn't degrade your users' experience.
Protocol-Level Tuning
Acceleration doesn't stop at routing. Connections are upgraded to modern transport protocols where possible, TCP parameters are tuned per path characteristics, and TLS session state is reused intelligently — each shaving real milliseconds off of every request, especially on high-latency mobile and satellite links.
